Note that Oregon spends more than the national average which also means we are spending more than all developed nations displayed on the international chart.

Oregon spends more than all 13 western states except Alaska. Only 14 states spend more than Oregon.

Oregon temporarily slips below the national average during strong recession years such as 2001-03.  This is because of Oregon's over dependence on volatile income tax revenue.  Nevertheless, in the vast majority of years, Oregon spends more per student than the national average.
